This Tour From Marrakech To Fes Via Erg Chebbi 3 Days/2 Nights Desert Tours Camel Treks takes you on a breathtaking expedition in the south of Morocco through the Mountains of high Atlas with its Berber villages , Kasbahs, Gorge, Canyon, Palm Groves, Sahara desert (Merzouga dunes), Middle Atlas Mountains and Cedar forest.

Day 1 : Marrakech – Tizi N’tichka Pass – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Kelaa M’gouna – Boumalne Du Dades :

We pick you up from your Hotel/Riad in Marrakech, and departure to Ait Benhaddou over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260M), visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and stop for lunch in a Moroccan restaurant.In the Afternoon we will drive to Ouarzazate and stop near the studios for Pictures then you continue to the city center for a panoramic view of Taourirt kasbah . After that you will head to Kalaa M’gouna and Dades gorge for a night. Dinner and overnight at the hotel/Riad.

Day 2 : Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorges – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi (Merzouga) :

After breakfast in the hotel, driving towards Tineghir passing by Boumalne du Dades and stopping for a panoramic view of dades valley.and we will continue to Todra gorges via Tineghir. Stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. Arrival to Todra Gorges to enjoy the marvelous Canyons views. In the afternoon we continue to Tinejdad and have a lunch then to Erfoud where you will visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that you will continue to the captivating Send dunes of Erg Chebbi, Arrive to the hotel and get ready for a camel trek to enjoy the sunset and sunrise. And you will continue to the camp for an overnight in nomad tent. Dinner and spend the night in a bivouac in the middle of the dunes

Day 3 : Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes :

Wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune in Sahara Desert then have your breakfast, then you will ride your camel back to the hotel where you can shower. And You will depart to Errachidia via Erfoud, Aoufous and Ziz valley then stopping for a panoramic views of the oasis of Aoufous of Tafilalte region. Continuation to Midelt across the pass of Tizi N’talghamt and have lunch. After lunch you will be driven to Fes via the Cedar forest in Azrou and the mountain of the middle Atlas with the possibility to see the monkey. You may have a stop in Ifrane (the Switzerland City Morocco) before arriving to Fez, drop you of in your Hotel or Riad in Fez.

We’ll meet you in Marrakech and drive to Ouarzazate through the dramatic Tizi n tichka pass (2260m), over the High Atlas Mountains, appreciating the beauty of the landscape on twisted roads through the Berber villages. Arriving at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah; the largest Kasbah in Morocco and now a UNESCO matrimonial historical site, housing many Glaoui family members. Lunch is by the Kasbah before continuing to Zagora where your camel awaits you. You will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea and a turban (desert scarf) and guided by an experienced camel guide you’ll explore within the mysterious sea of sand. Here you’ll also spend your first night under the stars, if you prefer, in a traditional Berber nomad tent.

Day 2: Zagora (Sahara) – Marrakech:

After breakfast with the Bedouin family you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to your hotel base. En-route you won’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. Arriving late morning back in Zagora and after shower in the hotel guesthouse, we’ll leave for Ouarzazate and Marrakech, once again over the Tizi N’Tichka pass arriving in Marrakech in the evening. The tour ends at your accommodation.

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley :

Departure in the morning heading east toward Ouarzazate via Tizi N’tichka Pass up throught the high Atlas Mountains stopping to take scenic photos along the way.You will visit the Ait Ben Haddou village to see an ancient Kasbah ranked by the UNESCO organization, it is one of the world top touristic attractions. Many famous movies were filmed in there.You will continue to Ouarzazate where are the largest movie studios or the so called the whooly-Wood of Africa, it where you can stop for lunch ( optional ). Set off through the Skoura which is an extensive Oases of palm groves where a beautiful Kasbah is located called kasbah Amrhydil. Then via Roses valley it is where roses festival is held every May of each year, in this town you’ll change the direction as you’ll take an off the beathen track through which you’ll appreciate the tranquility of the mountains populated by the nomads of the Atlas. On the way you’ll keep your eyes open to see a host of mud and bricks constructed Berber villages. Check into your accommodation in the bottom of the gorges. over night in the hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Merzouga :

Breakfast and check it out to other kind of Gorges it is Todra Canyons ( 300 m up narrowest point ), it is an ideal place for walking and exploring on your own. Then drive further to the desert of Merzouga, where are the unique dunes of Morocco. Dinner and overnight in a hotel near the dunes.

Day 3: Merzouga – Dunes 4×4 tour – Nomad people – Merzouga Camel trek :

After your breakfast in the hotel you will start an adventure (Tour of the dunes), visiting a village where the descendants of sub-saharian berbers’ slaves will entertain you with their authentic music . You will then get a chance to have some tea with a nomad family before heading to Rissani. Here you will taste a Berber pizza, a speciality of this town. Subsequently you will return to Merzouga to saddle up the camels and cross the ocean of the dunes. You will then get an opportunity to climb the dunes after sunset and, then, view the bright stars above as you fall asleep in your nomad camp between the famous dunes.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani-Alnif-Tazarine – Ouarzazate

You’ll wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes then ride back on your camel to the hotel where you’ll have breakfast and shower. We then continue the trip towards the vast palm of Tafilalet through the town of Rissani (the root of the Alaouite dynasty and the ancient capital of Sultans Alaouite) Continue to Alnif lunch in the right place. Carry on the road via Tazarine, N’kob and Tansihkt from here we will take an off road which crosses the Draa Valley, it would be your chance again to see the Ksours and Kasbahs, you’ll cross again an other Atlas range which is the Anti Atlas. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Atlas mountaines – Marrakech

After breakfast and before heading back to Marrakech you’ll cover of the aspects of Ouarzazat which the Taourirt Kasbah we will visit Kasbah Taourirt. Continue to Marrakech through Atlas mountains as the first day. Arrive Marrakech and the end of the trip.

We will pick you up at 8am, then travel over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m/7414 f) while enjoying superb views of the mountains and of the Berber villages on the way. Stop for lunch and tour in the World heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. (This famous kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films.) Pass through Ouarzazate and continues Towards the Valley of Roses and the Dades valley, Skoura oisis with it’s authentic 17 century kasbah, the valley of a thousand Kasbahs and the Dades Gorge . Stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Merzouga Camel trek Night in Desert Camp:

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to the Todra Gorge: a massive fault, rising to 300 m in a narrow valley with thick studded palmieri’s and Berber Villages. After lunch in the gorge, we will drive to the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi Where will you take a camel ride (about one hour and a half) in order to get to your tents Nomadic Berber, dinner, camp fire, drum party and overnight stay in the desert.

Day 3: Camel Trekking back to Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate:

After seeing the sunrise in desert we go back on the camels to Merzouga after the breakfast and take shower in Hotel then start our journey to Ouarzazate trough the Berber villages of the atlas mountains ( Tinjdad , tenghir todra gorges ,Boumalene-du-Dades )we arrive to Ouarzazate in evening/night.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait benh Haddou – atlas Mountains – Back to Marrakech:

Leaving Ouarzazate in the Morning ,we will visit UNESCO protected site of Ait Ben Haddou. A most impressive Kasbah and well-preserved fortress in Morocco. Many movies were filmed here such as the Gladiator. Leave Ait Ben Haddou and start heading towards the majestic Atlas Mountains. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco Tizni Tichka 2260m high offering impressive views of valleys, mountains and many Berber villages nearby. arrive a in evening .

After breakfast and shower, we will start our journey to Merzouga Sahara Desert, before we leave, we will visit Dades Gorges and will be a great opportunity to take a lovely pictures and nice view to see… we will continue driving toward Tinghir ” Todra Gorges ” there you will have a free time to walk around and then we go to the Tinjdad town where we will stop for lunch, after lunch we go to Merzouga Desert where the camel trekking tours start from, we will pass through Erfoud the capital Moroccan city of fossil’s, we will arrive to Merzouga in the afternoon around 16:00 to be ready for the camel riding into the erg chebbi dunes, before we leave to desert, the camels will be packed with water, food, blankets and everything else which we will need for the trip, each person will have his camel, you will ride camels for 1h 30 inside the dunes of Sahara Erg chebbi.at your arrival to the camp ”nomad tents” you will leave your luggage in the tent and then you can walk in the dunes to watch the beautiful sunset and try a sand board in the sand dunes !

After seeing the sunset, you will go down back to the camp, you will invite with a cup of tea who we called ( Moroccan Berber Whisky )! then you will have your meal in the camp ” delicious moroccan berber tagine ”, After dinner, the party will start. Listening to local berber nomads musicians play traditional music with drums and dancing around the campfire, after the party will be great opportunity to watch the magical sky full of stars and take a lovely pictures.
